Do I need a prescription to order?

Yes. A valid, unexpired prescription from an SVS Vision doctor is required to order contact lenses. You can view your current prescriptions on the My Account > Prescriptions page.
Q.
How long does my prescription last?
A.
Under federal law, your prescription is valid for a minimum of one year, and up to two years depending on the state in which your eye care provider is located.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription to order my contacts?
A.
Unfortunately, eyeglass prescriptions differ from contact lens prescriptions. To receive a valid contact lens prescription, please contact your nearest SVS Vision location.
Q.
Can I purchase online if I have an outside provided prescription?
A.
Not at this time. Only existing SVS Vision patients with a valid, unexpired prescription can purchase using this site.

Do I need to know my prescription to order?
A.
Even though your prescription will populate from our proprietary systems, we do suggest that you verify your information before placing your order.

How do I order if I have different scripts for my left and right eye?
A.
Once you log in, our system will direct you to add them one at a time. After you add the first prescribed lens to your cart, you will be directed to add the second lens.

What happens if my prescription is not updated online?

Can I get colored contacts?
A.
Yes. Colored contact lenses can only be prescribed by a doctor, so please contact your nearest SVS Vision location to schedule an appointment.

Do you offer trial lenses?

Trial contact lenses are for diagnostic purposes only. If you are interested in obtaining a prescription for contact lenses, please contact your nearest SVS Vision office or click here to schedule an appointment.

Can I order contact lens trials?

How do I care for my contact lenses?

Please follow the care instructions inside the box or provided by your doctor.

How long can I wear my contact lenses?

Recommended wear schedules are different per brand of contact lenses. Please visit our product page and/or consult your eye doctor for more information.

Can I sleep in my contacts?
A.
Some contact lenses are specifically designed for wearing at night, but not all of them. Consult your eye doctor for specific wearing instructions.

Am I able to order gas permeable contacts on the website?
A.
Unfortunately, gas permeable lenses are custom and are not available for online ordering. For assistance, please contact your nearest SVS Vision location.

How are prescriptions verified?
A.
Prescriptions for existing SVS Vision patients are verified through our proprietary system.
Q.
Can I place orders for multiple customers, i.e. for my entire family?
A.
Yes. As long as the prescriptions for each product appear in your account, orders may be placed for multiple customers at once (e.g. you may make purchases for yourself and for your dependents at the same time).
